coping
I’m taking refuge in art. the world is an ugly place right now. I had hoped to be able to stick my head in the sand and ignore it, in an attempt to shield myself from the coming tide of misery. but I find that impossible to do. I’m not certain yet how, exactly, I’ll push back, but I will.
until then, since I am feeling some way about the situation, I thought I’d create some art that reflects my thoughts. I drew these out by hand, feel free to use them. I modified the Resist pattern a bit, after this photo, by softening most of the right angle edges on the lettering so there are no pressure points. all the pieces can be shaped with a 1/8″ grinder head. no saw needed. once it’s finished, I’ll redraw the pattern with clean lines and post it.
this version has the rainbow flag behind it, but you can easily change that up to something that suits you better.
